DJ Swerve Interviews Ryan Leslie on Kiss 100

August 31, 2009

Kiss 100’s DJ Swerve interviews one of the biggest “artists (not just producer) on the planet. Ryan Leslie talks about his next album dropping on October 13th which will feature lead single, ‘Your Not My Girl’.

I managed to catch up with Ryan also prior to his AMAZING performance at the IndigO2 last Friday night. Watch out for the interview we did with Ryan and DJ Grind coming real soon, but for now, here are some words Mr. Leslie shared with us.

“I don’t like to say a lot in interviews before i perform because i need to save all my energy for the show. Trust me, what you see tonight will be a first. I leave everything on the stage.”

Video: Jay-Z Rhapsody Advert

August 31, 2009

Come every Jay-Z album release is a multi-million dollar marketing campaign. Jay-Z teamed up with Rhapsody this (what’s a Rhapsody?) and it looks like they will be the first (no they won’t) to exclusive bring you his 11th studio LP,The Blueprint 3 on September 1st. They will also be the first (yes they will) to drop 2 exclusive bonus tracks from the album on September 8th. Now this commercial above is pretty creative. Recreating history here.

Video: Backstreet Boys – Straight Through My Heart

August 31, 2009

Vodpod videos no longer available.

Okay, on a normal day I wouldn’t be posting the latest teen pop video to come from the Backstreet Boys, but today is a Monday and I am not at work, plus this can be slightly pigeon holed as “urban”.

The track is produced by Grammy Award winner RedOne (Lady Gaga – Just Dance & Poker Face, Elephant Man – Whine Up).

Note: Apologies for the quality. Will replace when official release drops.

Hurry up and drop the video already.

Wale – World Tour Feat. Jazmine Sullivan [Prod. by Cool & Dre]

August 29, 2009

wale

Wale is on a rampage at the moment. The Washington born rapper has a heavy flow and all of his tunes have been real nice. I’m a huge fan of Jazmine Sullivan and her album was ALOT. This one produced by super producers Cool & Dre is nothing short of brilliant.

Taio Cruz – No Other One

August 29, 2009

cap-taio-cruz

UK’s own golden r&b prince and the king of concert cancelations returns with a follow up single to the smash Break Your Heart. As much as my personal dealings with Mr. Cruz annoy me, i must say that his next album is going to be ridiculous. The producing/songwriting/singing sensation really does cut some serious mustard and his tunes deliver some serious disco dancing dynamics. You guys decide…

This is the shit right here. Four of the worlds greatest on one beat. What did we do to deserve this?
Everyone has gone in over this one, but with no bias opinion as you all know im a huge Eminem fan… his verse absolutely annihilated the track. I may do a full review later, but for now, just enjoy…
