Enterprise Challenge 2009 (Watch at 3mins in)

December 18, 2009

The kind people at Portsmouth Universities Enterprise Department sent me the video edit of the 2009 Enterprise Challenge with the tag line “You are in it.” About 3 minutes in, you’ll notice this handsome character with an awesome hair cut. That would be moi!

To be honest i am actually quite impressed with my attire and the professional presentation. Shame that business idea didn’t go much further. Thanks a lot to Portsmouth University; Sarah Mead, Tony Greatbatch, Simon Brookes and Richard Sant.

Big up Erlen Masson aka JR aka Mr. Loud Ent. Doing big things with Loud Entertainment!

Video: LL Cool J Tribute: Eminem, The Roots & DJ Jazzy Jeff Perform

October 14, 2009

Vodpod videos no longer available.

DAMN! This is BAWSE! LL Cool J is too cool, and his story telling ability is epic. Had me creasing up in laughter at his impression of Russell Simmons. Black Thought, Questlove and Jazzy Jeff absolutely killing it…. Killing it!! And for Eminem, what is there to say?
He’s coming back ARD!

Lil Wayne Interview with Tim Westwood

October 10, 2009

Vodpod videos no longer available.

BAWSE! Is there something about a 50 year old Tim Westwood wearing a fitted New Era hat that is still cool? Man!

On a serious note… Wayne seems as surprised as the rest of us about Eminem not being on the MTV Fucked up Hot MC List of 2009. In the rest of the interview Weezy speaks on the Carter IV/Rebirth/Young Money album, His cup, Drake, MTV’s hottest MC list, Omarion, D.O.A., Jay Sean and the possibility of retiring.

Expect the full video interview to drop shortly. For the full audio click here.

Video: Quincy Jones, QD3 & Others Talk Tupac (2Pac)

October 10, 2009

Blurb…

“Devi Dev talks Tupac (2Pac) with Quincy Jones, Quincy Jones III (QD3), Tyrese Gibson, Andrew Young, Jeff Johnson and John Hope Bryant at 5MK (www.5millionkids.org/) launch event. This is Part 1 and We are just getting started! Tune in next week for more on this round table where the legendary panel talks, Lil Wayne, Re-Defining the meaning of Success and why we keep dumbing ourselves down, among other topics.”

Quincy Jones and QD3, Tyrese Gibson, Jeff Johnson (A powerful Voice) and a few other music/political heads voicing opinions on Tupac. As much as i love to hear what people have to say about Pac, i really can’t divulge too much of an opinion mainly cos there’s so much were told happened yet so much we as media mushrooms just don’t know. Damn, does hearing Pac’s tunes get me though… *reaches for the ‘All Eyez On Me’ album.*

Video: Jay Sean Interview With Billboard Magazine

October 10, 2009

It’s not even been a hot minute since we booked Jay Sean in Portsmouth for my 2008/09 Freshers Launch show of Revolution. You don’t know what im on about, but in brief, myself and a few others ran some rather large Urban events down on the South Coast before i relocated to London. Anywho, enough of that…

Now, Jay, like all the guys we booked regularly (Chipmunk, Tinchy, Sway, N-Dubz) has blown up and become a rather large figure in Popular Music. Congratulations cos he’s a talented lad. Looking forward to hearing the 3rd album from Jay Sean.

Video: Mr. Hudson Talks About Straight No Chaser

October 10, 2009

Feels like a long time coming, but Mr. Hudson’s ready to drop his second album. This time without his accompanied band, The Library. His last product, A Tale of Two Cities didn’t reach the main stream, however, its still one of the best albums i own. While the world gets to know about Hudson through Kanye West and GOOD music, us UK supporters, recognise real talent from day.

You can purchase Straight No Chaser for only £5 from here. Be rude not to right?

Safe to LTMK
